What is a Notary Public, and where can I find one?

A notary public is a person appointed by the state government to witness the signing of important documents and administer oaths.

If you are in Berkeley, the Postal Annex at 2425 Channing has notary services. The phone number for the Postal Annex is 548-4680. The cost per signature is generally $10.

Banks and mailing houses typically have notary services, so check with your local branches.
