RELIGIOUS PLURALISM IN THE 21ST CENTURY: MUSLIM IDENTITIES IN THE DIASPORA March 14-15,

This symposium examines the challenges facing Islamic communities in the Diaspora, countries in which Muslims are a minority, with particular attention to the U.S. How does Islam develop in contexts of religious pluralism? What are the opportunities for interfaith dialogue? Invited speakers include Profs. John Esposito, Hamid Algar, and Amina Wadud. Friday 4:00-6:00 P.M. panels, and 7:00-8:30 P.M. keynote.
