UC Berkeley International Libraries

Center for Chinese Studies Library
This Library is one the premier research collections on contemporary mainland Chinese affairs in the United States. Acquisitions are closely cooredinated with those of the East Asian Library and the East Asian Collections of the Hoover Institution.
East Asian Library
The East Asian Library focuses on the humanities and social sciences. Materials include full-text electronic databases, books, periodicals, newspapers, maps, manuscripts, and very early examples of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean woodblock printing.
South/Southeast Asia Library
The South/Southeast Asia Library (S/SEAL) is the Berkeley campus library reference center in the fields of South and Southeast Asian social sciences and humanities.
The Center for the Tebtunis Papyri
The papyri were excavated at the turn of the last century at the Greco-Roman site at Tebtunis. The Center is part of the Bancroft Library.

International Library Collections

African Collections at UC Berkeley
The Africana Collections cover only Sub-Saharan countries and includes many publications from adjacent islands. This broad collection is located in all campus libraries.
Architecture Visual Resources Library
This slide collection represents the pictorial and visual history of architecture and urbanism through the ages, including the arts, design, technology and topographic data.
Berkeley Natural History Museums Online Maps
Berkeley Natural History Museums Online Maps displays point distribution maps of natural history museum specimen by geographic locations. Specimen informatin is collected from museums worldwide using the DIGIR protocol & sent to this application.

Canadian Government Information
Since November 1959, Doe Library has been a selective Canadian Government Depository Library for a substantial amount of legislative information, statistical data and annual reports from government agencies.
Center for Chinese Studies Library Collection
The focus of the CCSL collection is primarily on post-1949 Chinese politics, economics and the social sciences. Materials related to the pre-1949 period, or post-1949 Chinese literature and culture are collected by UC Berkeley's East Asian Library.
Clausen Center for International Business & Policy
The Center mission is to insure the provision of international-related support to the Haas community through research, outreach & learning experiences. One research tool is "Datastream International" available on a dedicated terminal in the Long Library.
Collections at the Botanical Garden
The current plant holdings of the garden comprise one of the largest and most diverse collections in the United States. The garden arrangement is geographic by continent of origin or region, such as the Japanese Pool and the Chinese Herb Garden.
Doe/Moffitt Library Government and International Organization Collection
The Library acquires state, federal, foreign governments and international organizations publications through depository, exchange, and cooperative programs in a variety of formats, with extensive holdings in development, human rights, and economics.

The Jan T. Kozak Collection of Images of Historical Earthquakes
A collaborative effort between Dr. Jan T. Kozak, a geoscientist of the Institute of Rock Structures and Mechanics in Prague & Katherine Frohmberg of the UC Earth Sciences Library have collected over 800 slides of illustrations of historical earthquakes.
University & Jepson Herbaria
The University Herbarium & Jepson Herbarium represent the largest collection of herbarium in a US public university. All plant groups are represent. This collection is international in scope.
War Crimes Studies Center
