The Department of South and Southeast Asian Studies, UC Berkeley,
is now conducting a search for qualified applications for the position
of Lecturer in Telugu language starting Fall 2007. We are recruiting
initially at the level of a part-time position (i.e. one course for
beginners per semester). However, there is a possibility that the position
will become a full-time one in the next 2 to 3 years. The salary will
commensurate with degree and teaching experience.
The applicant must have a minimum of a M.A. degree from an accredited
university in any discipline, learned Telugu formally through high school,
and be able to demonstrate native command of Telugu and English.

Bay Area or is willing to travel from surrounding areas.
