The Annual South Asia Conference at the University of California, Berkeley attracts over 150 scholars of South Asia, with over 50 panelists representing a broad range of disciplines and institutions presenting their work at the Berkeley conference each year. Held at the International House and sponsored by the Center for South Asia Studies, the conference is one of the premier annual events for South Asian scholarship. We are excited to present many strong panels this year on topics from Bollywood in the diaspora to the princely states of South India.

On Friday evening, we will have the Keynote Lecture by J. Mark Kenoyer, Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Center for South Asia at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The talk will be on the "Archaeology of South Asia and its Modern Relevance", and will take place in the International House Auditorium.

Please register to join us this February 11 and 12 by filling out the registration form. Earlier registration is encouraged, but you may also register on the day of the conference for a slightly higher fee.
