Visiting Assistant Professor, South Asian Religions, University of North Florida

Description:

The religious studies program at the University of North Florida (Jacksonville) has an opening for a visiting assistant professor/instructor for the 2006-2007 academic year with a specialization in South Asian Religions (4 courses per semester). Candidates must be able to teach courses scheduled for the fall, including the Idea of India (an interdisciplinary course on modern India), Religion and Globalization (upper division), and Global Religions (freshman seminar). Related courses for the spring semester can be tailored to the expertise and interests of the successful candidate and summer teaching is a possible option. PhD preferred but ABD considered.
