Pakistan Security Symposium January 28, 5:30 pm This symposium will bring together a panel of scholars with
a range of expertise on issues relating to Pakistan’s national security.
Discussion will center on recent books by two of the panelists. Ahmad
Faruqui, columnist for the Daily Times in Lahore, will share ideas from
his book, Rethinking the National Security of Pakistan. Hassan Abbas,
research fellow at Harvard Law School and doctoral candidate at the Fletcher
School of Law and Diplomacy, will present a different perspective, drawing
on his recent book, Pakistan’s Drift into Extremism: Allah, The
Army, and America’s War on Terror. Tariq Rahman, Quaid-i-Azam Chair,
UC Berkeley, and Zulfiqar Ahmad, President of the Eqbal Ahmad Foundation
and Senior Associate at The Nautilus Institute, will also participate
in the discussion. |
