1. Plan A ($1.0 Million)
• A full-time lecturer to teach Telugu
at three levels.
• With some additional funds, the above position can
be supported
with state-of-the-art digital tools and study materials,
library acquisitions and outreach, including summer schools,
conferences and public lectures. (Estimate of this can vary
from $0.2M to $0.5M)
2. Plan B ($5.0 Million):
• A full time assistant professor on
tenure track for Telugu studies.
This could be a named chair if a family wants to endow it
with their name. This can happen after Plan A is in place.
3. Other Possibilities:
• Support of a TA or a Lecturer to
teach language courses
• Study Abroad Program with universities in Andhra
Pradesh
• Scholarships to graduate students
